Peaceful Anti-War Demonstration, Provokes Auckland Police to Violence and Arrests…
The march against the illegal occupations of Iraq and Palestine assembled at the amerikkkan Consulate at 11:00 am. After some speeches and the time honored tradition of flag burning, the march (200+ strong) proceeded to the Australian owned ANZ Bank on Queen Street.
The bank was then occupied, when demonstrators entered and disrupted the violent profiteers with chants and speeches. The demonstration became violent after the occupation, outside the ANZ bank when Auckland’s Swinest showed up to try and ASSert some authority.
Demonstrators were shoved, choked, and four were arrested. As of this posting jail solidarity (in the form of a vigil), is taking place outside the pig-pen (po-lice station). The final detainee, who still hasn’t been released is not speaking to police and is reportedly on hunger-strike. The march continued back to the amerikkkan Consulate showing that capturing ring-leaders is impossible, as rings (democratic groups) don’t have leaders. The march was corralled onto the sidewalk by a flank of goose-stepping fascistas, to the chant “2-4-6-8, Fuck The Police State”
The final two pictures (guy in yellow hat, guy in blue hat) are undercover pigs that I am dragging out of the fascist closet. They REALLY didn’t want their pictures taken, so have a good look.
As a final note, the ANZ shut down its imperialist business for the day, proving once again “Direct Action Gets the Goods”.

Here are some pictures of the continuing jail solidarity for the anti-war demonstrator arrested in Auckland.
The vigil continues even now (10:00 pm) for our commrade who still remains in jail. If the activist is still being held on Monday, there are promises to up the stakes with a much larger vigil and rally..
The police brutaility bannars are getting a lot of positive support from public motorists (especially non-whites), some of whom have offered food to the people staying there.

the vigil has ended because i was left to see a doctor. i refused to give details in protest against the police brutality at the march and what I experienced in the police car when everyone had gone. The same officer who was seen in the Herald this morning choking a young activist was the same officer who held my throat the entire time I was in the police car (about 15-20min) not allowing me to breathe. Every now and then he would rub his hands around to "keep the blood flowing so [I wouldn't] faint and keep feeling the pain." He also mentioned that "you and the Springbok tour people are all the same" - He's right - they fought a racist government and we are fighting a racist war. Unfortunately, inside the cell they refused to let me see a doctor so I scribble a peace symbol on the bail form and left. Thankyou to the people who were waiting outside and the people in wellington fasting in solidarity.

The Israli state is a terrorist state. It has been responsible for killing 8 year old boys throwing stones, assassinations, forging visas to spy on new zealand, depriving the Palestinian people of food, water, medical attention and land.
They are in constant violation of the Geneva conventions, responsible for collective punishment by bulldosing houses and have the greatest nuclear capacity of any middle eastern country.
What about the Warsaw uprising against the Nazis. Jews in this instance, gave their lives in order to kill a few Nazis. Why is it heroism then and terrorism now? Oh, because you are a pro-zionist, neo-conservative, racist, ignoramus? Oh, why didn't you say so from the begining.

Anti war protesters arrested
21 March
Five anti war protesters have been arrested after a demonstration at the Auckland district court.
It is believed the protest, involving around 20 Global Peace and Justice members, was staged outside a courtroom where a protester who was arrested at a weekend demonstration was due to appear.
The same group were involved in a protest outside the United States consulate in downtown Auckland on Saturday, when four arrests were made.
Following that protest a complaint was laid against police after a sergeant used a two-handed throat hold on a teenager.
The grip was used on the 16-year-old as he tried to hold the doors of a police car open to stop them driving away after arresting another protester. The teen was not arrested.
The five people arrested on Monday have been charged with trespass.
