Re: Press Release: Maori Flags over Aotearoa :
Sweet. So a bit late now, ngh but hey, better late than never.
This is a call-out for a removal of New Zealand flags from anywhere and everywhere you can find them as a protest against colonial rule in this land.
Removal could be anytime from tonight (the eve of Waitangi) until say March 7th when Maori activist Tame Iti appears in court at Wellington for the defacing of a New Zealand flag. The flag was shot in protest several times with a gun before one of the Tuhoe iwi Waitangi Tribunal hearings in early 2005.
Flags could also be replaced with Tino Rangatiratanga flags or left ripped, burned, shot, muddied, shat on etc below their flagpoles ;o)
Please note: Mr Iti does not (knowingly) support these actions.

Tino Rangatiratanga!
Re: Press Release: Maori Flags over Aotearoa :
It appears poor Queen Victoria has given in and decided to hold her own Tino Rangatiratanga flag in Whanganui-a-Tara.
And her wee angel of justice is looking a bit suicidal on it. No bluddy wonder.
Heheh...

Not sure if the link will work but it's a story in the Manawatu Standard about how two cousins attending Waitangi celebrations in the Square in Palmy North were asked not to fly their flags by event organisers as they were "political."
Nice way to opress people even more!
Re: Maori Flags over Aotearoa this Waitangi Day
How come it's ok to fly a racist flag in the name of maori, but if I fly a confederate or swastika flag i'm automatically a racist scumbag, even though I am only exercising my rights under article 19 of the UN declaration of human rights. Double standards or what??????
