Butchers Stores Stormed
Activists have stormed butchers store several times over the past 36 hours, Meat on Tory a deli near wellingtons waterfront has been targeted due to the foi gras and veal they are selling. Prestons butchery a large meat retailer and wholesaler has also been stormed, with activists informing workers and passers by the of the destruction the system they are part of is causing. During the Prestons protest one activist was assaulted by police drawing blood and causing bruises.
Inside prestons dead animals were being carved up and the floors of the processing area were covered in blood.

Way to go! As a vegan I would like to see all butchers banned, but it is good to see you targeting the worst abusers, the ones who not only kill animals but torture them first.

The cops will have seen you and probably taken photos.
We are not currently in a fascist state where people on demos are liable to answer for their actions with their lives.
I feel a protest has more force if the participants openly stand up and own their stance.

You ask a fair question, unfortunately though these guys have learnt from experience the country we live in although called democratic is often quite the opposite, you might want to check out how many times people get violently arrested in NZ for simply protesting and voicing their opinions, all it does is clog up the courts all casing I have ever known about are thrown out.

Hi Don, they scratch their faces out and try to be as anonymous as possible because through their own past experiences they have been targeted arrested for what we believe is freedom of speech are harrassed and bullyed by the police who threaten them put them through the court system lie in court and waste an enormous amount of money, wouldn't have believed it myself it I hadn't supported people going through it, yes in NZ

I did it because pictures of protesters on indymedia have ended up on fascist sites, I do realise that it aint as cool to have faces scratched out but as I didnt ask everyone permission before taking photos I feel it would have been wrong to put distinguishing featrues online.

to all involved. For those of us who cant take part we thanks u. And about the photos. No faces is best now days. I ahve also seen the results from people knowing who u are. As sad as that may seem Don this is a police state. I dont see the plice turing out to protect too many protestors?? Not in my memory but u may know of some?? Don't be stupid. Supermarkets won't be closed down since they provide vegan food too like: soya milk, veggies, fruit, nuts, berrys, cherrys, etc. See there's lots of food for a vegan to get in one.
