NZ embassy in Berlin Spraypainted

In the early hours of 6th Feb , Waitangi Day, the New Zealand embassy in Berlin received messages sprayed on its windows and doors:

"Tino Rangatiratanga"
"Drop the Urewera charges"

The action is in solidarity with all those facing charges from October 15th, and with all those still fighting racism and colonialism in Aotearoa.

Yeah well i seem to remember a whole country supporting Hitler while he tried to take over the world and slaughter millions of people,the German people didn,t lift a finger against him and had no problems with the war while they were winning so they can shut the fuck up and stay out of New Zealand business.

resistance is global! I wonder whether the worldwide solidarity shown in the form of outrage against the charges against the uruwera 17 helped to apply sufficient pressure on our government to release them. I think unifying issues like that is what the powerful fear most.

anti-semitism was rife throughout the world. germany wasn't the only nation who's leaders vilified the jews to serve their own ends. i.e. to divide the people against one another. the same game is played today with manufactured enemies like welfare mothers, criminals, maori activists, anarchists, immigrants, arab terrorists.

they win if we fight each other and remain divided. we will win when we all organise and orient our focus towards dismantling this system of racism and inequality.

don't trust politicians. organise. resist. build a better world.
