ALF Liberate Strawberry
Auckland Animal Action anonymously received the following communique:
Every year through out New Zealand hundreds of thousands of pigs are confined to sow crates, farrowing crates and fattening pens. Males in the fattening pens live in their own excrement in cramped pens where they await slaughter. The females are treated as machines, being constantly confined to sow or farrowing crates where they can not turn around, comfortably lie down or properly care for their young. Before long their babies are ripped away from them and they are impregnated again. They are treated as though they do not feel pain, as though they do not matter, as though they are profit.
We recently entered a shed containing farrowing crates on an intensive pig farm in Auckland. Along with documenting the heart breaking conditions these mothers are forced endure we also liberated one sweet little piglet. He has been nicknamed ‘Strawberry’ after his fondness of the fruit. He was a third of the size of his littermates and would certainly have not survived much longer on the farm, though if he had he was destined to be slaughtered. He has since been placed in a new home where he is free to be a pig; to run, play and forage.
Pigs are not profit and they are not food; they are thinking feeling loving beings that deserve to be free!
Viva ALF!
Footage from the farm can be viewed at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psVUHhr-_yg

Awesome. So cute!
Re: ALF Liberate Strawberry
makes ya wonder what IS cruelty to animals, and what a fraud the RSPCA is. "modern" farming is a crime.
Re: ALF Liberate Strawberry
thank you!!! again ,this cruelty breaks my heart but the ALF ,gives me hope
Re: ALF Liberate Strawberry
More of these compasisonate actions need to be taken to save the lives of beautiful animals.
Keep up the increase of resistance! From over here in the UK I can tell you these actions DO work....although with many others ;)
Re: ALF Liberate Strawberry
we need more of these actions
Re: ALF Liberate Strawberry
yay for you guys !!
Re: ALF Liberate Strawberry
Yay! Finally resucing other animals - not just chooks. About time!
Re: ALF Liberate Strawberry
Chooks are of course a lot easier to rescue than pigs, and also easier to keep once they are rescued. This time ALF liberated a piglet, which woud be quite easy to move, but if anyone has any ideas on how to rescue a 200kg adult pig, perhaps they could post it here.

Re: ALF Liberate Strawberry
What about the prison that is called the Auckland Zoo! Do not the animals kept in it deserve liberation.
Re: ALF Liberate Strawberry
Work it out yourself, Phil!!! Stop being a lazy freeriding individual!!!
Re: ALF Liberate Strawberry
hey Phil,
adult Large Whites (the commercial breed used by the industry) can weight up to 450kgs (female) and up to 500kgs (boar).
Rescuing an adult Large White pig would be next to impossible without people involved confident with handling large animals - and you'd probably need a small truck suitable for transporting such an animal safely.
Its probably better to stick to rescuing piglets.
Re: ALF Liberate Strawberry
450 to 500 kgs of pig meat. Just think how much ham, bacon and pork that makes.
Re: ALF Liberate Strawberry
There's a fair bit of "long pig" around Aotearoa pushing 150 kg. They are definitely not liberated from gluttony.
Re: ALF Liberate Strawberry
Mmmm...pork, bacon and ham...yummy!!!
Re: ALF Liberate Strawberry
it is sad to see phil being his usual lazy self
the biggest losers are the animals of course
Re: ALF Liberate Strawberry
If the last poster is so clever then why doesn't he or she move a full grown pig him/herself. Of course one does not need two brain cells to rub together to criticise. . You must be suffering from acute megalomania to make those sort of unfounded accusations about someone you don't know.
Of course if I am wrong, then I look forward to a new posting describing the liberation of adult pigs.

Re: ALF Liberate Strawberry
Hmmmm - is that Kiwi Bacon? or the imported Canadian bacon that tested positive for TSEs with a Western Blot that was sent to NZ consumers anyway ????
Time to start testing NZ products for BSE!
Especially former Minister John Luxtons imported semen and embryoes from the UK. Some of these were latter used in NZ after being held in quaranteen, as they were taken from herds that were destroyed for being BSE positive.
Test your own samples from here: http://www.prionics.com/
And be sure that the food you are eating isn't laced with TSEs. Just remember NZ is free from TSE according to MAF. Yeah - Right.
Re: ALF Liberate Strawberry
With phil being usual lazy freeloading self no wonder the ar movement doesn't have the respect of the wider community. If it did librate more and a wider range of animals maybe it would.
Re: ALF Liberate Strawberry
Hmmmmmmmmmm Bacon!
Next ALF guys I find in my piggery will be fed to the pigs!
Re: ALF Liberate Strawberry
