ALF Liberate 130 Hens in a Week of Action
Auckland Animal Action anonymously received the following communique.....
'This week we made our third visit to the Somerdale Poultry Lodge in South Auckland. This farm is owned by convicted Animal Abuser Mr Van Den Bogaart.
At this 'Lodge' the hens are kept in almost complete darkness and are crammed into small plastic cages where they can not adequately stretch their wings let alone dust bath, play or carry out any of their natural behaviours.
We were able to spare 40 hens this miserable existence and they are now recovering in loving homes. They will no longer be treated as egg producing machines and they will be free to live as they please.
Later this week we visited a South Auckland pullet farm and liberated 90 sweet girls destined for a battery hen farm. These lucky chicks still have many of their yellow feathers and fortunately know little of the horrors that were in store for them. These young pullets are in good spirits and have been placed in warm, loving homes where they too can be free.
We would like to dedicate this action to a Suzanne Carey; our fallen comrade. While we never met her what we heard of Suzanne has left the impression that she was a tireless activist dedicated to the fight for animal liberation. The animals have lost a great friend.
For Suzanne and the animals.
ALF!'

ALF rock my socks :D
Re: ALF Liberate 130 Hens in a Week of Action
What important actions helping all these birds and saving them from a life of misery and a cruel death. And what a loving tribute to Suzy, who would be so happy these little birds are now FREE from harms way
Re: ALF Liberate 130 Hens in a Week of Action
Nice work ALF. Suzy certainly would have been pleased by such an action.
The hens must be enjoying their new life greatly.
Re: ALF Liberate 130 Hens in a Week of Action
will you marry me alf?
Re: ALF Liberate 130 Hens in a Week of Action
I believe the NZ public is now ready for the next step, which is helping these hens to find suitable employment. This may seem quite radical, but in fact it is the bare minimum required.
There are many suitable jobs around, and with the une, ployment rate a low 3%, the time is right to give these hens their opportunity to be fully functioning members of our economy.
I see no reason why a hen could not work as a caregiver within older people's health. Currently NZ has an acute shortage of caregivers, and our older people are suffering due to this shameful specie-ist idea that only humans can be caregivers. We share more DNA with these hens than they do with pigeons.
Help the hens! Workers of all species, unite, you have nothing to lose but your chains!

I prefer to admire animals in freedom from afar. I don't condone domestication.
Re: ALF Liberate 130 Hens in a Week of Action
I am sure that Suzy will be remembered in every ALF action undertaken.

Re: ALF Liberate 130 Hens in a Week of Action
It is a pity that the animal rights movement does not have the respect of the wider community and has the reputation of standing outside the community throwing stones at it. If it liberated animals more often and a wider range of them then perhaps it would have more of main stream society on its side.
Re: ALF Liberate 130 Hens in a Week of Action
you again, why dont you go out and do some liberations then or are you just a coward ,yeah you are eh
Re: ALF Liberate 130 Hens in a Week of Action
More chooks rescued which is good but what about the pigs, sheep, cows and all of the other animals exploited for their meat? And what about the prison that calls itself the Auckland Zoo? Don't all animals deserve to be liberated? Come on ALF, AAA and the Open Rescue pull your socks up!
Re: ALF Liberate 130 Hens in a Week of Action
I am not surprised that only a small number of animals are taken out of their bondage since all what the AR movement is about is building fiefdoms while only doing the token gesture.
Re: ALF Liberate 130 Hens in a Week of Action
piss off loser !
Re: ALF Liberate 130 Hens in a Week of Action
its da animals that are da biggest losers when da ar activists r lazy
Re: ALF Liberate 130 Hens in a Week of Action
Free Cashin!
Teach those zoos a lesson - like we taught that Steve Irwin! He thinks that animals should be imprisoned and beaten in his Australia zoo? Well we took revenge on him!

Re: ALF Liberate 130 Hens in a Week of Action
Whips and chains should be banned for all, so close down all the zoos and farms to let the animals go free! Bring on the clowns to show us the true error of our ways. A liberated lion is a happy lion. Give all animal abusers a jolly good spanking and live the compassionate vegan lifestyle.

Re: ALF Liberate 130 Hens in a Week of Action
why do the despots that run this site allow the AR movement posts on here to be spammed by a halfwit and yet are very quick to delete on other posts
Re: ALF Liberate 130 Hens in a Week of Action
where are the clowns? send in the clowns. oh they are already here huh aaa supporter?
Re: ALF Liberate 130 Hens in a Week of Action
I haven’t been a part of the AR cause for nine years now and it is funny to see it still saving chickens. Why haven’t campaigns moved on from this? Where’s the growth and development in doing the same things?
Re: ALF Liberate 130 Hens in a Week of Action
Bored are we? Boring and uncreative people complain of boredom.
Re: ALF Liberate 130 Hens in a Week of Action
Oh, I wish you were here. Two lost souls in a fish bowl, year after year. Running over the same old ground, finding the same old fears. Oh, I wish you were here.

Re: ALF Liberate 130 Hens in a Week of Action
while there are still battery farms there will be brave ppl to rescue them,I wonder if the ppl who continually knock these actions have any guts or do they just sit behind a computer criticising like the weak ,pathetic souls they are
Re: ALF Liberate 130 Hens in a Week of Action
"why is there no growth and delepment"
OK jerk off ,I cant wait to hear of your exciting actiions/liberations in the name of AR ,remember you are the ALF
Re: ALF Liberate 130 Hens in a Week of Action
Doing the same things all the time after a while becomes ineffective since people become use to it.
Re: ALF Liberate 130 Hens in a Week of Action
Calling anyone a jerk off doesn't help. If AR people are like this then no wonder the AR movement has a poor standing in the community.

Glad to hear that "They will no longer be treated as egg producing machines and they will be free to live as they please." you all did a great job.Digital Picture Frame
