imminent rebellion #9 out now!
imminent rebellion #9 is fresh off the printer! (In fact we're still high off the ink) Weighing in at a staggering 108 pages, imminent rebellion is making a come back after 3 years of hibernation as an irregular anarchist journal from deep in the South Pacific.
Included in this issue are personal commentaries from some of those arrested as part of the October 15 'terrorist' raids, an overview of the police's Operation 8, a consideration of police treatment of activists over the last few years, critiques of NGOism, activism and identity politics, and more.

I'm about halfway through reading IR9 and it's a brilliant read and beautifully put together. I highly recommend a read. Well done to everyone involved.

Interlectualised garbage which uses far too much ink. Other then that good effort, but it would be nice to see something a little bit more accessable by everyday people, after all, they are the ones we need to convince, not ourselves.
Re: imminent rebellion #9 out now!
i think i'm a rather everyday sort of person. making the distinction between people who identify as anarchists and 'everyday' people is a bit elitist. it implies anarchists are special enlightened people who can understand writing no one else understands.
i also think it's really important for anarchists to talk to each other about our politics and what we think. it's not useful to assume that everyone who calls themselves an anarchist has the same views on everything, and therefore talking about our views is preaching to the converted. anarchism isn't a religion, we don't all believe a particular code set down by proudhon or kropotkin generations ago. it's important we keep talking and developing new theories of resistance to power.

The poem on page 13 about immigrant alienation was very moving. I've felt that kind of alienation too and still feel it. B.

Have you read it yet? Theres articels inside that address this very problem....
Secondly, why not post up your examples/alternative press efforts, before dismissing others...
Very good result team, awesome stuff.
