Dr Peter Dodwell of New Zealand Sacked as Chief N.S.W. Government Medical Officer

The chief medical officer for HealthQuest, the notorious government medical office in Sydney which has been accused of certifying whistleblowers insane for years, has been sacked.

Public Service whistleblowers have been fighting HealthQuest human rights abuses for many years. There have been few victories in this fight as the N.S.W. government backs its evil government medical office, even passing new laws to protect it from prosecution.
Dr Peter Dodwell, formerly of the Civil Aviation Authority in New Zealand, was recently dismissed after interfering in the employment prospects of a public servant who was one of those affected in the 1990s and who re-applied for employment with the State Government. The Sydney Morning Herald reported this under the headline "Teacher's Pest: Top Health Official Sacked." This is the first time in ten years that a mainstream newspaper has reported honestly on the activities of HealthQuest.
Dr Dodwell claimed the dissident public servant was linked to anonymous postings on Sydney Indymedia about HealthQuest. He also claimed the person was being investigated by N.S.W. police. He breached the public servant's privacy by informing the government department which set up an inquiry into the person's alleged association with Sydney Indymedia.
The complaint has now been passed on to police and the Medical Board for further action.
Dodwell denies any wrongdoing.
Public servants falsely diagnosed by HealthQuest psychiatrists have made several appeals to Amnesty International and have not received a response.
New Zealanders considering employment in New South Wales should beware of the government medical office.
