Ngati Aukiwa occupies again
About a dozen Ngati Aukiwa members have started to occupy a three-bedroom house on the farm after it was left vacant last week by an employee who left the Stony Creek station in the far north. They said they were told by police they were trespassing. "We said we weren't. We moved into a vacant house and we're occupying it," said one of the group, Wilfred Peterson jnr. The group have had between 10 and 20 people at the house since last weekend and say they will stay there indefinitely.
Mr Peterson said the farmhouse occupation was part of a plan of action agreed by hapu members late last year after Deputy Prime Minister and Treaty Negotiations Minister Michael Cullen, and other government ministers, were forced to abandon nearby Taemaro Bay on December 22 where the agreement in principle involving Stony Creek and other lands was to have been signed with the trust board. Maori have been traditionally stealing each others lands through occupations based upon fictitious or fraudulant land claims. This is a cultural practice .... its been going on for years.
There ia a very interesting historical book on the subject written by and early European setler (along with other social books on maori practices and culture) about this topic specifically (he has recorded where he has to kill one of the intruders in his house with an axe one night in a fight to the death).
Other traditions such as cannabilism and slavery have been outlawed, it is now time for this to be as well.

Not even the Crown lawyers will use early settler history alone to prove their case. Much of that history was proven to be falsely recorded. So I hardly think you have a clue about anything worth noting. Cannibalism was practiced by Russian peasants not less than 100 years ago because they were starving. They have photographs of russian cannables with frozen body parts during a severe winter. I hardly think you would equate Russians with that kind of practice, and yet they have bothered to record it in photographs. In the US, when they were opening up the continent, tales of cannibalism by early settlers and not the Native Americans abound. I guess being stuck in the frozen wilderness without food can make the quaintest of individuals into cannibals. Incidentally, the serial killer Geoffrey Dahmer ate his victims and stuffed them into freezers. If Maori ate human flesh, the practice hardly died when they eventually left the practice behind. There are a lot of nice white people out there eating the limbs off some poor beggar and couldn't care if you were on their menu too.

slavery isn't outlawed in neo liberalism, it's still going on in the world and has been forced on a lot of cultures, such as when the french went to haiti and the spanish went to south america and when europeans imperialists went to africa.
don't try to preach about land thefts, history shows that the genocide of native peoples and the theft of their lands and culture has been prolific.

I'm a Maori preaching about it. Its got to stop or we will have 100's if not 1000's of years of 'treaty grievances'.
It is about what is happening here and now ... not what has occurred in History.
There is some sort of PC myth in this country that Maori land have been 'stolen and people enslaved'. This is the true oppression of our people. Sir Tipene is correct when he said at Akaroa that there is a 'mass psychosis in New Zealand'.

go for it ngati aukiwa hapu, tangata whenua of their land that crown wants to give to their surrounding hapu (Ngati Kahu ki Whangaroa) to pay crown debt. for those ill informed but still want to pass judgement. trust board or runanga are not customary authority but maori groupings dictated to by crown processes. crown pay your own debt and people who want to pass comment, go see the hapu before condemning them. U know where they are Stony Creek Station..

It is no myth that Maori land has been stolen and people enslaved; read your history books; talk to your own kaumatua.
Pakeha have been stealing land through occupations based upon fictitious or fraudulant claims for centuries. This is a cultural practice that has served France, England and more recently the US quite well; and will continue to do so.
In this situation Ngati Aukiwa actually have a legitimate claim to Stony Creek. I suggest that the ill informed scum bags do their own research and stop listening to people like Peter Pangari, Ella Henry or the Crown; who make up their own versions of history to suit to their own agendas.

Taemaro and Waimahana had the land taken from them you dumb eggs. Who are these other marae that are trying to steal something that is not their whenua. You have your own whenua if you don't have land to claim back from the government don't take what doesn't belong to you.
Wilfred Snr and Jnr are beneficiary owners from Waimahana and have more rights to the Stoney Creek Station than the other so called whanau marae. Get your own land back if you have any and stop stealing Ngati Aukiwa's land.

When people who are not involved in the claim come into these sites and comment and they say things like "...its been going on for years" - they usually never back it up with figures, dates, days, names. Why would they? they probably have no idea what they are talking about. The sad fact about early history written by settlers was that they fabricated much of their information (usually their account of history and not supported by records held by the Crown) and they are generally proven to be fictitious through the careful scrutiny of historians who actually bother to check to see if these so-called early historians were telling the whole truth. Nobody really reads that kind of history except for the people who swear by them. Not even the Crown will hedge a bet on such history telling.
