Yeah, I was facing away from the police. One officer grabbed me, pushed me down a little and kneed me in the ribs, then pulled my jumper over my head and shoved me against a fence.

the three people arrested got out at around 9.30pm. Two got breach of the peace and one was charged with unlawfully on property.

we will know more after an x-ray tomorrow. no one else was badly hurt; just a few bruises as far as i know.

... were pretty vicious this evening. might still be a bit angry from te papa last year.

... was ok. 40 to 50 people. we blocked off tinakori rd for 45 minutes. the smoke bombs and other fireworks were fun! the sound system rocks and we were pretty loud. could have done with HEAPS more people. the cops didn't want us to get through their line so we could block the road 30 meters further down in order to stop howard's motorcade. unfortunately we weren't strong enough to break the police line. but we tried.

the fact that in the background are these cute little cottages makes the whole event seem quite surreal when your just watching it online.

Unlawfully on a building is a relateively easy charge to get off. They have to prove that you had unlawful intent. In other words they have to prove beyond doubt that you were intending to do something illegal on the building.

Heh G. that reminds me of when I came to a protest im welly must have been late '01 the protest end in chaos after cops started getting heavy handed after kicking us out of a westpac bank. I was with a certain chch anarchist who got arrested during the scrum that followed I saw this girl must have been all of about 14 or 15 come snaking through the crowd and gave one of the cops a good kicking in the shins before making her way back through the crowd
