Unfortunately, some people seem to have been so screwed up by capitalist society, they've come to believe in nothing but being as nasty and cruel as the society they claim to oppose. This is understandable given the steady diet of violent revenge fantasies the media serves up as entertainment and as a deliberate depiction of rebellion that undermines real alternatives, but it's pretty sad too. If we deny hope we might as well give up now.
