pressure should be direct not left to a market where employers will always pay the lowest they can get away with. wages should be realistic. leaving it up to employers has resulted in real wages dropping for the last 25 years. you can't win by playing their game. employers control the market. people have to eat and are weak when not organised. employers know this and take advantage. organise to create a better world for all!
people most able to change jobs leaving would make those remaining, presumably many less able to change jobs, less inclined to take the direct action to get fair wages.
