Well we could devote our energy to a spent force made up mostly of retired middle class lefties (and some employed middle class union bureaucrats), with an average age of around 60, most of whose younger activists (30-60) have realized the futility of parliamentary politics and become anarchists, who polled about a fifth of the ALCP in 2005...
