Ironbridge's takeover of CanWest is a prime example of this - they are not even a media company and now they control one of our most major broadcasting institutions (tv3, C4, radioworks ...). How can a company with a vested interest in BBQ factories and other such enterprises encourage good journalism when they purely have profit motives at heart
