Good article Cam, well done. I wouldn't call what I said about Pharmac to be a "speech" - more that I grabbed the megaphone to make a quick point I thought was important and had not been mentioned by others. They were personal comments - I forgot I was wearing the NDU hi-vis! I said that the US had Pharmac in its sights as it wanted to decrease its influence it has to lower drug prices - and this will clearly benefit US drug multinationals. I would not say so directly that the US wants to stop Pharmac subsidising medications, but it could be said this would be an obvious implication of its desire to encourage NZ doctors to prescribe non subsidised medications along free market principles.
