Well that's a lie then isn't it? According to a statement below one person has been charged with theft. See!
"One member of the Open Rescue team is currently charged with burglary for his part in the Foxton battery hen rescue in 2006. His home and office was raided over this.
He could go to jail for rescuing suffering animals (or, in the eyes of the law, for theft of property)."
