resistance is global! I wonder whether the worldwide solidarity shown in the form of outrage against the charges against the uruwera 17 helped to apply sufficient pressure on our government to release them. I think unifying issues like that is what the powerful fear most.

anti-semitism was rife throughout the world. germany wasn't the only nation who's leaders vilified the jews to serve their own ends. i.e. to divide the people against one another. the same game is played today with manufactured enemies like welfare mothers, criminals, maori activists, anarchists, immigrants, arab terrorists.

they win if we fight each other and remain divided. we will win when we all organise and orient our focus towards dismantling this system of racism and inequality.
