The Waihopai ploughshares trial continues in the Wellington District Court. All day Thursday and Friday morning, Father Peter Murnane gave evidence as to his ‘state of mind’ when committing the deflating of the spybase dome and outlining the things that had influenced his views and beliefs.

Anarchist Murdered by the Police in Athens

35 year-old comrade Lambros Foundas was murdered by cops on Wednesday morning in the suburb of Dafni (south Athens).

The police claims that he was a “terrorist” and that he was shot while trying to steal a car, and that was carrying firearms. Fountas was one of the over 500 anarchists arrested at the Polytechnic riots of 1995, in Athens.

Waihopai trial update (Wednesday)

The crown finished its case on Monday afternoon. On Tuesday, court was largely behind closed doors 'in chambers' as various legal arguments were made. Late on Tuesday afternoon, Adi Leason took the stand to begin his 'evidence in chief'. He continued that this morning, and his cross examination by the crown had begun just before lunch.
