If you use an anonymous proxy to post your messages, who gives a flying fuck what the IP address reads in the phpBB database, its not your real one it is the IP of the anonymous proxy server. The point being the FBI will have already subpoenaed the ISP's records which will contain all incoming and outgoing connections, so what again is the point of obscuring the logs, when doing so will only get the webserver admin in the shit, when really, it should be the asshole that posted without using an anonymous proxy that cops the flak.

Let me put this in simpler terms. If you decide to do a bank robbery and do not wear a mask, who should be liable for the robbery, you, or the person you borrowed the getaway car from?

If a webserver admin is going to allow subversive content to be posted on their server then they have to be ready to be raided or subpoenaed. Its a fact of life. If they tamper with the files and the FBI can prove that the tampering happened after the subpoena was issued then the admin will be charged with tampering with evidence and depending on what was deleted, could lead to jailtime.

Reality check, again, use anonymous proxys, there is no reason why these webserver admins should have to go to jail to cover for the carelessness of others.

Often times when you get proxies from websites like www.stayinvisible.com you will find that the proxies listed as anonymous or high anonymous, still pass thru either the client-ip or the x-forwarded-for ip so are not anonymous.

These are completely anonymous in the sense that your IP will not be passed through in any of the possible http header fields.

Learn to use anonymonity people, make it your standard practice online, there is nothing these webhosts can do if the gestapo come door knocking, if your real IP address is passed through because you neglected using anonymous proxies then tough fucking cheese...we don't use such laxed practices offline, why would anyone do so online and expect magic to happen.
