Creative Action for Community Owned Transport
Kia ora all,
Radical Youth are doing an action this Saturday against privately-run public transport. We will no longer tolerate the people being charged too much, and having their taxes given to private companies, so these companies can make big profits. We believe that public transport should be run by and for the community, and on Saturday we will take action on this issue.
If you are keen to be involved, please call or text max on 027 514 7644 and we can let you know the details. All welcome and we can do this together.

Move away from reformist bullshit of promoting "public" transport, the state and politics of the Alliance and Green parties.
The state has no problem with capitalism, wage slavery and using workers' toil to fund their operations - which they seek the return of profit from.
Where's your analysis?
"By and for the community." What does that actually mean in reality? City council run bus and train systems? State rail where government appointees/mates of Helen, Matt or Laila are paid thousands to sit on boards? Workers working their guts out in rail and bus workshops, driving all day, collecting tickets and transporting other workers to ongoing wage slavery.
Christ, we can do better than this!

maybe you should have read the posting before beginning your rant.
If you and Christ can do better- go for it.
Re: Creative Action for Community Owned Transport
However, we all know who controls those institutions. I'd like to say that it's certainly not "the people", even though one day I'd like to get to the bottom of who this group named "the people" actually are.
There's probably an argument to be made, although it's only a matter of degrees, that local council control of the bus system is preferable to a multinational such as Stagecoach.
Council run buses or trains may mean slightly cheaper and discounted fares. However, you cannot isolate such thinking from the fact that every cent gained by the state in tax revenue from workers has come from worker exploitation, as has the tax paid by capitalits.
Surely there's a more radical alternative to the post World War II era that social democrats are so fond of romanticising over, particularly in relation to transport.
