Today around 1000 supporters of those arrested took to the streets of Auckland. They were calling for the immediate and unconditional release of all those arrested under a pretext of terrorism, the three and a half hour long protest went several kilometres from central Auckland to the remand prison in Newmarket. At the prison Tame Iti's son spoke, along with Rongomai Bailey - arrested in the raids - and many others spoke of the grave injustice being committed before us. Many members of Tuhoe travelled to Auckland for the protest and led the march in haka.

I don't think Rongomai is related to Tame Iti. Rawiri Iti is the arrestee who is related to Tame.

if the cops are smart they'll figure out a way to appologise and retire the upper eschelons, pardon the pun, to history. start afresh with modern cops, the colour blind kind.
