Public meeting:
Tino Rangatiratanga, Tuhoe & the Terror Raids
Thursday 1 May 7-9pm at Mungavin Hall, Lower Mungavin Avenue. Porirua.
Come along to find what the October 15th ‘terror raids’ mean for you and your family, find out how we can make Tino Rangatiratanga happen in Aotearoa now and what Tuhoe is doing to stand up to police violence. Come along and get involved in the campaign for freedom.
The public meeting is sponsored by October 15th Solidarity Crew Wellington. We are a grassroots group committed to securing the unconditional freedom of the now 20 people arrested in the Operation 8 ‘terrorism raids’ and working for Tino Rangatiratanga and Te Mana Motuhake o Tuhoe. Tibet Solidarity Film Screening and Benefit Gig
The Tibetan Solidarity Network will be hosting the screening of a documentary about Tibet on Friday 16 May at 7pm at the Newtown Community Centre (cnr Colombo and Rintoul Streets). Anger as a Strength
Anger is a misunderstood emotion and energy. This training for women is skill based on providing opportunities and techniques to express anger using tools of assertiveness. From July 11-13 the South Pacific Christian Anarchists (SPCA) will hold their third annual conference. The venue is Onuku Marae, Akaroa - an hour or so from Otautahi/Christchurch. October 15th Solidarity Meeting
7pm (fortnightly – 13 & 27 May) downstairs at Thistle Hall. A group of people that has been meeting since the nationwide raids and arrests on 15th October 2007. The group was set up to support the prisoners, to bring the community together and to organise demonstrations against the raids. It’s demands are: Release the prisoners, Drop the charges, Repeal the Terrorism Suppression Act 2002, Justice for all those raided on October 15th (esp. Ngai Tuhoe), Support Te Manamotuhake o Tuhoe and Tino Rangatiratanga.
