Celebrating the Centenary of the Birth of the Chilean President

The Auckland Latin American Community (ALAC Inc) is taking part of a worldwide conmemoration of the 100th year since the birth of the Chilean President Salvador Allende G and we want to invite you to take part.

This event will take place in our community center 37 Selwyn St, Onehunga, Auckland, on Friday 27th June 2008.

The event will begin at 7pm and it will include words from his family, community representatives and Unionists. It will also include music , dance and the screening of
documentary.

The programme will include the unveiling of an art piece specially designed for this occasion and the launching of a nation wide campaign “ A street named Salvador Allende” .
