Open Letter Writing Session against Clint Rickards in Chch

There will be an open letter writing session in front of the Catheral in Christchurch/Otautahi on Tuesday from 12:30pm - 2:30 pm.

The letters will be sent to the Auckland District Law Society in regards to Clint Rickards' application to become a High Court Barrister.
Come and join us in voicing our strong disproval for this to occur. How could someone like him even be considered for the bar?
Before granting admission, the ADLS must be satisfied that a candidate "is of good character" and "a fit and proper person" to be admitted.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Clint Rickards and his history of sexual violation and abuse of power is NOT a person of good character NOR is he a fit and proper person for the job. So say NO to Clint Rickards and write a letter with us tomorrow or write your own letter before 4pm Friday.

Professional Standards Director, Auckland District Law Society, PO Box
58, Shortland Street, Auckland.

We believe you, Louise Nicholas! (and all the other wymmin who bravely spoke out about this horrible man).

Wymmin of Otautahi.

Yay to the Otautahi crew.

It's Women's Fest on campus in Welli - might see if we can do similar here.

Re: Open Letter Writing Session against Clint Rickards in Chch

Clint Rickards thinks he deserves a second chance!! This from the man who says has been studying full time for the last three years during his two rape trials like that is something to be proud of. I don't think so, he forgets that he was on full pay and driving to his lectures in his tax payer funded car. Not a luxury his fellow students had I'm sure. He demonstrates his arrogance by stating "let's be clear I haven't done anything, okay" and "I just want to work with my people, you know". Who says our people want him! He wants to be a lawyer when the people of NZ trust Scott Watson a convicted murderer more than him. The best thing you and Tania can do Clint, is leave the country. Maybe then you will have another chance.
